Recently, principal of TU-Clausthal, Prof. Dr. Joachim Schachtner, sent a letter of sympathy to our university. In his letter, he says the novel coronavirus is a common enemy of all human beings and that TU-Clausthal is an important partner of Southwest Petroleum University at any time. He expresses that TU-Clausthal will stand firmly with SWPU, and hopes that we can curb the virus together.
SWPU principal Dr. Zhao Jinzhou replied to the letter from TU-Clausthal. Zhao first expresses his gratitude to TU-Clausthal and emphasizes that, although the current situation of the novel coronavirus pandemic is getting increasingly challenging across the world, he believes that as long as people of all countries fight side by side, the pandemic will be fully overcome. He also hopes that when the pandemic ends, principal Joachim Schachtner of TU-Clausthal would visit SWPU to promote and deepen the exchanges and cooperation between two universities.
TU-Clausthal is a long-term partner of our university. Currently, we have established a joint training program for students in 10 majors, covering oil and gas engineering, business administration and computer and information engineering. After graduation, students in this program can go directly to TU-Clausthal in Germany for their master's degree. Our university will continue to strengthen the cooperation with TU-Clausthal in the training of students, the exchange of information, and the sharing of resources.
TU-Clausthal is located in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is a high-level engineering university and has a history of more than 200 years. The university is known for its leading researches and popularity in chemistry, physics, mathematics and mechanical manufacturing.
